Applicants will work in both finance with the academy business manager and general administration to gain the breadth of experience necessary to be able to support the academy staff and pupils on a day-to-day basis. Mereside Academy aim to provide a placement where apprentices can reach their full potential and progress in their chosen career. What will the apprentice be doing?
Finance Training will include:
• Order processing
• Invoice entry
• Payroll input
• Petty cash recording
• Monitoring and reporting from in-house systems on payments received and due. Other day to day general finance work
General administration duties will include:
• Reception desk duties including face to face and answering the phone
• Dealing with admin emails
• Photocopying
• Maintaining pupil system records
• Collating information
• Postal duties within the academy
• Liaising with class based staff and senior Leaders
• First aid (Upon completion of accredited training)
• Plus any other duties as and when they are deemed appropriate for your training
Training will be provided on in-houses systems, safeguarding, child protection, prevent and fire safety and first aid.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, including English & maths (Grade 4) desirable

There is the possibility of employment following the completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.
What will the apprentice get at the end?
A certificate of completion of the level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.
