Established in the late 90’s, GV Accountancy Ltd are a lively, young, progressive team keen to embrace new digital technologies. Their primary office is in Pontrilas with a further high street branch in Abergavenny which is currently being expanded.
The company acts for a wide variety of clients across a broad range of businesses guiding clients from start up through to their evolution into large innovative limited companies. Services the company offers include bookkeeping, vat, payroll, CIS, tax returns, capital gains and accounts for property, sole trades, partnerships, limited companies, charities and CICs.
The role:
- Client data management and processing
- Bookkeeping using Quickbooks, Xero and Sage (on the job training will be provided)
- Assisting the team with the production of Vat returns and management accounts
- Administrative support
Desired skills:
- Excellent skills in numeracy and English language
- Confidence with the use of technology, in answering the phone and in greeting clients
Desired personal qualities:
- Quick thinking logical problem solver
- Friendly and confident
- Professional presentation
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE grade 5 in mathematics and English
- A levels or BTEC diploma desirable
Future prospects?
- This post is likely to become full time. On the job training will include certification in the use of Quickbooks, Xero and Sage.
Reality check:
- GV Accountancy Ltd are based in Pontrilas, however, they are on the regular Hereford – Abergavenny bus route. The company will discuss adding an extra payment to help with bus fare costs.
