Sink or Swim is a barbers shop based in the town centre of Hereford. The team of three work very closely and, between them, they would love to teach somebody who is keen and motivated to learn the skills of barbering.
The role:
- Learn to cut hair using barbering techniques
- Learn to cut facial hair into shape
- Learn to style men’s hair
- Learn shaving skills
- Learn how a barbers shop is run
- Learn reception duties
Desired skills:
- Good communication skills
Desired personal qualities:
- Reliable
- Good team worker
- Friendly
Desired qualifications:
- Maths and English at grade 4 desirable but will be part of qualification if not already achieved
Future prospects?
- A full time position will be available for the right candidate upon successful completion of their apprenticeship
Reality check:
- Please be aware that you will be on your feet for long periods of time, and you will be expected to work a Saturday.
