As an Apprentice Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll support the vital need to uphold quarry and cement site production.
The role:
- Dismantling, examining, replacing, and reassembling mechanical and electrical systems and components.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment.
- Working on yellow machinery to equipment that deals with dust; there will be lots to learn.
Desired skills:
- A practical worker
- Good communication skills
- Good time keeping
- Reliable
Desired personal qualities:
- A demonstrable interest in engineering – via education and/or work experience
Desired qualifications:
- At least five GCSEs, grades 5-9/A-C, with a 6/B in Maths
Future prospects?
- A full time, permanent position may become available for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Reality check:
- This role can be physically challenging and you won’t be spending every day in the office.
