This is a one-day course ideal for pet owners and pet professionals that are keen to equip themselves with the first aid skills required in an emergency situation. Delivered by an experienced veterinary nurse, the day will feature a mixture of theory and practical workshops as well as the opportunity to ask questions throughout the day.
Course Content
- How to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations including:
- Unconsciousness patient
- Seizures
- Haemorrhaging and bandaging
- Shock
- Burns
- Poisoning
- First aid equipment
- Liaising with veterinary professionals and safe transportation
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be 19 years or above to enrol on this course. No further entry requirements are needed.
Completion
On successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded with a College Certificate of Attendance.
