Course Content
The course aim is to provide students with a complete advanced education in digital photography. The tutor has spent 23 years of his career in professional photography and has general and advanced photographic qualifications, a City and Guilds 7407 teaching qualification and a Certificate of Education.
The course will include:
- How to ‘see’ photographically
- Camera and camera technique
- Image enhancement
- How to use light to your advantage
- Viewpoint and composition
- Landscape and architectural
- Portrait and group photography
- Close-up photography
- Photographing movement
- Advanced assignments and presentations
- A small amount of web-based research
- Black and white and toning in digital photography
- Printing what you see
Entry Requirements
Ideally students will have completed my intermediate digital photography course (in some cases just the basic perhaps) – the class will be structured to give students assignments and tasks, and to cover advanced digital photography aspects that students require. Students will need their own cameras for this course.

Course Costs
Tuition fee (19+): £85.00 (this includes a charge for materials of £5.00)
Additional Costs: Entry costs for field trip venues in addition to the course fee, payable on the door, at your own expense
