About the course

This course is ideal for those working towards positions of responsibility in the agricultural industry and is based on an integration of theoretical and practical sessions backed up by work experience. You will gain an understanding of all aspects of modern farming practices based around our College farm which will cover a wide range of livestock and arable operations. You will also enjoy a range of trips to various local and national shows and demonstrations.

Classroom-based learning is regularly linked in with the tasks undertaken at our 230-hectare organic farm. The farm is well-equipped with machinery and runs a pedigree herd of Hereford cattle, a flock of Lleyn ewes and a large arable enterprise. This enables students to gain valuable practical skills and key underpinning knowledge in order to progress further in the industry. The College has strong links within the agricultural sector, with guest speakers to visits to local farms enhancing the learning experience.
