Course Overview
This half day course is for the Award in Safe use of Pesticides Handheld Applicators (PA6AW) on or near water. This training course is designed for spray operators and pest control technicians who require a certificate for pesticide applications using a handheld sprayer. Candidates must have achieved the PA6 qualification or attended the PA6 training day.
The NPTC assessment will take place on a separate day; a time will be allocated to you during your training.
Course Content
- Safety and routine maintenance
- Operating the handheld sprayer
- Adjustments, setting and calibration
- Decontamination of the sprayer and protective
- Measuring and mixing pesticides sprayer
Equipment
Candidates should bring wellingtons and spray overalls (minimum type 6 for chemicals).
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be 19 years or above to enrol on this course and have achieved the Foundation Module PA1 and PA6 (or attended the PA6 training day).
