You will learn about different degrees of deafness and how you can support deaf people.
You will gain an understanding of the impact faced by deaf people and how to use this awareness to reduce barriers.
You will learn general communication skills to assist you when meeting or working with deaf people.
You will learn basic British Sign Language skills, including the alphabet, greetings, simple numbers, and vocabulary needed for basic conversations.
The College may schedule further BSL courses subject to demand
Dates: 28th January to 25th March 2025
Length: 8 weeks (no class on 18th February)
Times: Tuesday evenings, 6.00pm to 8.00pm
