The Part P qualification could benefit you if you are:
Working within the domestic building services sector such as a kitchen/bathroom fitter, plumber, or heating engineer, and you carry out electrical work as part of this role. This could include tasks like replacing broken electrical fixtures, boilers, cookers, or showers.
This may be suitable for a domestic electrical installer wanting to reduce reliance on other tradespeople or an electrical operator working towards joining a Competent Person Scheme.

Domestic electrical installers need to appreciate the requirements that apply to the building work they carry out in connection with their electrical work, and they need to understand the way that Building Control works and the procedures that need to be followed.
This qualification does not provide practical content or instruction on how to meet technical requirements when carrying out such work in a domestic setting. This is more likely to be covered by a Level 3 Certificate in the requirements for electrical installations (BS 7671) and an inspection and testing course.

This course is suitable for those working in the building trades and others who require a workingknowledge of how electrical installations in dwellings can affect building construction.
This qualification is restricted to 18+ learners.
Please note that this qualification is only suitable for those working within a BSE trade in England andWales due to there being different regulations in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
