About the course

In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, enjoy the calm of a morning of drawing and painting. We will explore a variety of media, techniques and subject matter, giving you the opportunity to develop your own style.

Over the year we’ll be using a broad range of media, this half term we will start by drawing with pencils, then coloured pencils, drawing a still life, followed by drawing with pastels. Learners need to bring in their own materials. They are taught sessions but if anyone prefers to work on their own paintings or project in a session that’s fine.

Health and Well being benefits of a group art class can be:

– Stress Relief: Art can be therapeutic, providing a relaxing and meditative effect, reducing stress and anxiety.
