Floristry – Christmas arrangements

This course will cover the basics of floral design and these skills will enable you to adapt and create beautiful designs.

· Week one: Christmas Door Wreath

· Week two: Table display

· Week three: Candle Arrangement

· Week four: Christmas basket

Tools/Materials:

Please bring the following to every session of the course:

Secateurs floristry scissors

Gloves optional

In addition, for the first week, please bring:

12” wreath ring

A small roll of Binding wire

10-15 stub wires (stub wires are around 15 cm long and are stiff )

Moss and mixed foliage

Decorations: Cinnamon sticks, dried oranges, pine cones, Silk flowers, Baubles (you do not need everything listed just a selection of you choice)

Ribbon to make a bow.

For subsequent weeks, you will be issued in advance with a list of flowers and other materials to bring with you to the class each week.

Please note, that the cost of these will be at your own expense.

My Name is Poppy; I have been working in the floristry industry for 20 years. I look forward to passing on some of the knowledge that I have gained to you. Floristry is my passion and I hope that we can have fun along the way whilst creating some beautiful pieces that you can take home and be proud of.
