SHORT COURSES
This course will cover the basics of floral design with a focus on special occasions and these skills will enable you to adapt and create beautiful designs.
Week one: Mothers’ Day arrangement
Week two: Easter nest arrangement
Week three: Buttonhole, corsage and head crown
Week four: Hand-tied wedding bouquet
Week five: Top table arrangement
Please bring the following to every session of the course:
· Secateurs / floristry scissors
· Gloves (optional)
In addition, for the first week, please bring:
· A container approx. 6″ x 6″; it can be round or square, to hold water.
· An oasis to fit the container
· Pot tape
· A selection of foliage
· Roses x 7
· Gerbera x 5
· Gyp x 3
· 1 metre of ribbon in a colour to match your flowers.
· I will be using pinks and lemons as a colour pallet, however, you can use whatever colours you choose.
For subsequent weeks, you will be issued in advance with a list of flowers and other materials to bring with you to the class each week. Please note, that the cost of these will be at your own expense.
