About the course

The purpose of this qualification is to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours needed for learners to progress to further study and ultimately into employment. Through learning the basics of carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, electrical installation and property maintenance, accompanied by skills in planning, time management and working with others, students develop personally and as tradespeople. The course is designed to be delivered in an applied way, delivering a good balance of practical, technical and life skills.
