This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. * Fees are chargeable each year and the fees quoted will be for the current year only, if the course is more than 1 year further fees will be due next year.
This course is designed for young people who want to build confidence, develop leadership skills and gain real-world experience through hands-on projects that matter.
You’ll explore what it takes to start your own business, run social action campaigns and take part in meaningful volunteer work that creates a lasting impact in your community. Whether you’re dreaming of being your own boss, making change happen, or simply trying something new, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Gateway Level 2 Certificate in Vocational Studies
On successful completion, your next study options would be progression to a Level vocational course, traineeships or supported internships for those needing a bit more experience before work or study.
Employment options may include entry-level roles where teamwork, communication and organisation are valued or volunteering placements within youth and community projects.

Assessment is through assignments and team projects. There are no examination for vocational units. All full-time students are also required to study maths and English at the appropriate level – please refer to the study programmes page of this website.
