Building upon the skills developed at Level 2, on the Level 3 programme you will be designing and making your own furniture using modern design principles and techniques which are taught alongside traditional approaches. The design element will become more of a focus with greater focus on producing highly unique and innovative pieces of furniture. Technical and presentation drawing skills are refined to better promote your ideas and you will explore modern manufacturing practices such as price estimates, business development and career progression.
Higher education or employment in the associated sector (kitchen design/fitting, shop fitter, cabinet maker, joiner, fine furniture design and manufacturing, antique restoration and conservation, etc.).
