This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. About the course

Based on the National Occupational Standards for Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, this course is a job-ready qualification which requires learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required in the hairdressing and beauty therapy industry. Our well-equipped, commercially run hair salon provides opportunities to develop skills within a commercial setting. You will be expected to build up a client base of paying customers in order in order to complete the practical assessments. This is a key feature of the course.

New modern nail bars allow for a range of nail treatments. The hairdressing salon is equipped with 17 individual bays with adjustable chairs, overhead driers and storage cupboards.

Entry requirements

A minimum of four GSCEs at grades 1 or 2, including English and maths or successful completion of a Foundation or Entry Level 3 qualification and good progress with English and maths.
