Course Content

We are experiencing the most challenging times for employment and at North Shropshire College we are committed to supporting our Community in helping you get back to work. Jobs have disappeared or changed. It  is more important than ever to be able to identify those skills, qualities and experience that can be transferred to other jobs. We will be working with a maximum of 6 people to ensure safety.  The course will give you an opportunity to share your experiences with others and not feel isolated. You will update or create a CV, learn the tricks of using ‘key words’ in your application as well as practice interview skills You will also be able to search for jobs online.

By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following:

  • Identify own qualities, skills and experience
  • Create a winning eye-catching personal statement on your CV
  • Create a supporting letter to support your on-line application
  • Give a good performance at interview

You will need…your own pen and a copy of your CV if you have one.

Your tutor will supply…folders and handouts and handouts.

Rosemarie Sellers is an experience career development coach having delivered employability programmes throughout North Shropshire over the last 8 years. She also understands the challenges unemployment can bring as she made a major career change herself following a period of unemployment herself.
