Course Content
This course is intended to give you the basic skills in the use of brickwork materials and tools so that you are able to complete basic home repairs. The course will cover:
- Mixing mortars by hand and machine
- Bricklaying techniques
- Jointing and pointing
- Half brick walls
- Brick piers
- One brick thick walls
- Block walls
- Cavity walls
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements although an interest or a project in mind for you to use your new-found skills would be helpful to get the most from this hands-on course.
Materials Required
- Suitable toe protective boots
- Overalls or Old Clothes
