Introduction to Floristry

Course dates: 20th September to 25th October 2023, Wednesday evenings (no class on 11th October or 1st November)

Length of course: 5 weeks.

Venue: Hereford Campus, Folly Lane, Hereford, HR1 1LS

Course Content

This course will cover the basics of floristry design and these skills will enable you to adapt and create beautiful designs in all areas of floristry.

· Week one: Toolbox necessities, buttonhole and wired work
· Week two: Flower care, handtied bouquet
· Week three: Vase arrangement
· Week four: Sympathy design
· Week five: Living wreath

Entry Requirements

This course is complete for beginners.

Materials

For the first week, please bring:

· A pair of floristry scissors
· Floristry secateurs
· Bunch of mixed flowers – supermarket flowers are best!

For subsequent weeks, you will be issued in advance with a list of flowers and other materials to bring with you to the class each week.

Please note, that the cost of these will be at your own expense.

Course Costs

Tuition fee: £55 (this includes a charge for additional materials of £10)
