This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. This course covers a range of predominantly practical construction and building service skills (carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating, etc.). It is ideal for those keen to work in a range of environments, or alternatively for those unsure of their future career pathway.
Progression routes after successful completion of the course may include Level 2 Apprenticeship in Property Maintenance, employment in the construction sector, or a Level 1/2 Diploma in Plumbing, Carpentry, Furniture Making, Bricklaying, etc.
