About the course

The Level 2 course offers you the chance to build a foundation of sports knowledge that will enhance your understanding of your physical performance and prepare you for further study. This will include areas such as fitness testing and development, anatomy and physiology, effects of exercise on the body, planning and leading sport activities and injury in sport.

Entry requirements

A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English and maths or successful completion of a related Level 1 qualification and good progress with English and maths.
