This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. * Fees are chargeable each year and the fees quoted will be for the current year only, if the course is more than 1 year further fees will be due next year.
This course offers a combination of learning practical and theoretical aspects of sport, developing understanding of what it takes to become a top-level athlete, coach or other professional working within the sport and active leisure industry. It is recommended that students studying the Extended Diploma in Sport also enroll with the Football Academy to supplement their studies.
Many students go on to university to study a Sports Science, Physical Education, Sports Coaching or Sports Development related degree. The course could also lead to employment within the ever-expanding sports industry in many capacities, such as leisure management, sports therapy, coaching or fitness instruction.
