COUNSELLING LECTURER
HOURLY PAID- FLEXIBLE
£25.91 – £33.59 per hour (depending on skills and experience – includes holiday pay)

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified counsellor to join our team. We are seeking a counselling specialist qualified to level 5/6 or above to teach our Foundation Degree students. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the person-centred approach, but we would welcome applications from those with other backgrounds. The ability to teach into Research and Personal Development modules would be advantageous, as well as the ability to work on Wednesdays and Fridays. Experience of teaching and assessment within a collaborative team is preferred for this role, however, we are also keen to hear from people with a counselling background who might not be qualified teachers, as we can support with appropriate training.
Counselling is placed within one of the largest departments in this highly successful Further Education College. We offer courses from level 1 through to Level 5. The department delivers outstanding provision with exceptional success rates. We would like to build upon this and appoint a dynamic, innovative and student-centred lecturer who can motivate and support our learners.
Lecturers in the Counselling Department work closely together following a common programme and using a variety of methods. The department is well resourced and the team is supportive. Emphasis is placed on sharing best practice and developing creative approaches to teaching and learning.
