Walford College is seeking an inspiring and dynamic Deputy Head of College to lead us into our next phase of growth and excellence.
The Deputy Head of Walford College role is pivotal to the smooth running and ongoing development of the college. With a focus that includes leading full time and apprenticeship programmes, supporting curriculum development and leading the colleges residential provision this is a challenging, yet rewarding role.
This key role calls for enhancing the management presence at the site by providing outstanding leadership and excellence in the general management Walford College, and in the operational planning and management of the curriculum, students, staff and other resources.
The Deputy Head of Walford College will be an inspirational classroom practitioner. The role includes up to a 0.5 teaching commitment, therefore it is essential that teaching experience is aligned to the Walford College curriculum, with a demonstrable track record in delivering excellent achievement rates.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, be an outstanding educator and have proven, excellent leadership skills. This will be coupled with experience of post-16 education in a land-based setting.
