Operating from six locations; Hereford, Ludlow, Holme Lacy, Oswestry, Walford and The Gateway in Shrewsbury, we provide a diverse curriculum to over 2,200 full-time, 6,000 part time learners and over 500 apprentices.
In recent years we have made substantial capital investments and developed through mergers. Our ambitions for the future include further expansion and maximizing the impact of our Hereford University Centre.
In anticipation of the planned retirement of the current post holder, the College is seeking to appoint a new Director of Finance. This is a pivotal role. You will deliver effective financial planning, monitoring and reporting to enhance the decision making process of the College. You will ensure the College complies with all statutory and external requirements and regulations efficiently and effectively.
You will lead the College’s Finance Department, coaching and developing your team to ensure they deliver a high-quality service to all stakeholders. You must have a track record of relevant experience and be able to demonstrate first-rate technical knowledge. You will have excellent leadership and management skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders within the culture of the community. Experience in the Further Education and/or charity sector is welcome, but not essential.
This senior position is a rare opportunity to make an important contribution to an already thriving College. As senior post-holder you will be a key player, not just in financial management, but also as the senior manager of the College’s estate, IT infrastructure and MIS.
