Saturday 3rd May marked the inaugural Ludlow College Sport alumni event.
Twenty-three former Ludlow College students who had all represented the college as netball team members joined Head of College Linda Randall, Head of PE Gavin Price, and lecturer in Sport Sophie Broome for a netball tournament.
This was a celebration of netball and the netballers who have graced the college over the past 10 years, and although some couldn’t make it, those who did enjoyed catching up and reminiscing with one another.
These students have gone on to achieve success in a wide range of fields, including sports therapy, retail, leisure, management, education, hospitality, accountancy and healthcare.
Matches were fast-paced and intense, with each team demonstrating great team ethos and skill. The winning team comprised a mix of players who left the College between 2020 and 2022, as well as two of our current squad members. Winning each of their matches against older and younger teams, Freya Blackburn, Dana Clent, Caitlin Evans, Freya Morgan-Jones, Tegan Pinches, Jess Sheldon, and Libby Shields emerged victorious on the day.
The college looks forward to hosting similar events in the coming years!
