Get involved in shaping the workforce of the future
With students at the heart of our business, Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College seeks to provide the best possible education, training and personal support to enable students to achieve and progress in their chosen vocation.
In order to develop a relevant curriculum and prepare students for the workforce, it’s crucial that we build a strong relationship with local employers. We want to partner with you to support our forward planning and develop opportunities for careers-related learning for students.
How you can help
If you have experience in business and a passion for supporting young people, we would love for you to consider volunteering your time in the following ways:
- Employer Forum: If you are interested in learning more about the College and contributing to learning and training needs locally, please join college staff and local Mountain Perspective representatives at our meetings scheduled three times a year.
- Enterprise adviser* role: 10 hours a year working with the Careers team to advise and support the strategic development of careers related learning.
- Curriculum development: working with curriculum leads to explore opportunities for employer related learning and curriculum development.
- Careers activities: Student Services team activities such as careers fairs, apprenticeship workshops, preparation for employment including recruitment and selection advice and mock interview practice.
