Holme Lacy College provides an attractive range of agricultural and rural crafts-related courses

We have specialist land-based campus and commercially managed 257-hectare estate, which includes an arable, beef and sheep farm, woodlands, orchards and lakes.

We offer full-time and part-time courses in such subjects as agriculture, blacksmithing and metal work, farriery, welding, horse care and management, forestry & arboriculture and animal care.

Our part-time courses include some statutory and certificate courses required in certain professions, such as safe use of chainsaws and different types of pesticide.

Want to earn as you learn and get a head start in the industry you want to work in? Apprenticeship courses are available in most of these subjects too.

We have Level 2 certificate courses available to study via distance learning (online) and we also offer free, government-funded courses for adults including Level 3 qualifications and courses to improve your maths and numeracy.

The College offers many low-cost short courses for adults (19 years+) too – perfect for trying out something new or learning more about a hobby you enjoy, while meeting new people.
