Transport

If you are aged between 16 and 19 years you may be eligible for assistance with a travel pass

For information about this, or advice about routes, contact the Post 16 Transport Department at Herefordshire Council on 01432 260928.

If you live outside the county, contact your local county council for more information.

Further information is available on the Herefordshire Council’s website on the ‘Transport for 16-19 year olds‘ page.

Train travel

Holme Lacy College is over six miles from Hereford Station, so if you will be travelling by train you will need to connect to a bus service from Hereford Country Bus Station (a six-minute walk).

See the travel advice for Herefordshire College for information about trains and rail passes.

Buses

There are two bus options available.

  • Yeomans
  • Rural Crafts bus (Blueline)

Yeomans runs the 454 bus between Hereford bus station and Holme Lacy College.
Timetables at Holme Lacy are scheduled to work within these bus timings.

For the latest stops and timings for the 454, check this page

For students who wish to arrive earlier / leave later, the College runs the Rural Crafts bus (primarily for Blacksmith and Farriery students) run via Blue Line.

Download the current timetable for the Rural Crafts bus (but please note this is only a guide – the route and times are subject to change depending on the needs of the students).
