Apprenticeship News – Exciting changes are coming to modern UK apprenticeships in a bid to boost opportunities for young people.
Below are just some of the highlights:
- Employers are NOT required to pay National Insurance contributions for apprentices up to the age of 25 years old, even if they are an existing member of staff.
- Effective from 1 April 2025, the National Minimum rate for an apprentice is anything from £7.55 per hour.
- Employers of apprentices aged 16-18, will be able to receive a financial incentive of £1000 from the government.
