Assessment methods

The Energy Efficiency (Part L) is assessed by a short multi-choice theory examination including a heat loss and radiator sizing exercise.

Entry requirements

Applicants should be experienced installers of gas, oil, or solid fuel domestic central heating systems. You must have at least one of the following prerequisites: ACS, OFTEC, N/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in plumbing (or equivalent), N/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in heating and ventilating (or equivalent), N/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in gas installation/maintenance (or equivalent), N/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in oil-fired technical services (or equivalent) or a Previous energy efficiency cert.

Full Cost – £215.00

* Fees are chargeable each year and the fees quoted will be for the current year only, if the course is more than 1 year further fees will be due next year.
