This course is designed to address an increasing need for high-quality professional and technical education pathways at Levels 4 and 5, providing students with a clear line of sight to employment or progression to further higher education study.

These qualifications are confirmed by the Department for Education (DfE) as a ‘full and relevant’ early years educator.

(EYE) qualification as the core units allow coverage of the full Level 4 (in the HNC) and Level 5 (in the HND) EYE

requirements, and access to a range of employment opportunities in the sector.

Assessment methods

Entry requirements

· Level 3 qualification in Children’s Play, Learning and Development (or a related subject)

· a GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate

performance in more than one GCE subject.

· GCSE grades A* to C and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as maths and English

· Access to Higher Education Diploma awarded by an approved further education institution
