This is a combination course. It can be chosen alongside 1 other course from the social science pathway (Applied Psychology, Sociology Criminology or Level 3 Certificate for entry to the Uniformed Services).
This Level 3 course aims to provide you with the specialist knowledge, skills and understanding relating to the sport and physical activity sector, in areas such as exercise, health and lifestyle and preparing for a career in sport. These can be applied to your current or future aspirations of higher education or employment in a variety of roles. This qualification alone will sport progression to university. Distinction grades will support progression directly to a degree programme. If you select one additional course from the social science pathway, this qualification is the equivalent of up to 168 UCAS Points.
Level 3 Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science- plus one other qualification if selected.
Degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Sport and Leisure, Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy, Teaching. Apprenticeships or job in various sectors within sport and physical activity. NGB coaching awards.

Assessment will be through a number of coursework assignments.
A minimum of five GSCEs at grade 4, including English and/or maths or successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit grade and good progress with English and maths, ideally GCSE grade 4 or equivalent.
