LCTTC hosts first Construction Sector Green Technologies Advisory Meeting

Herefordshire Ludlow and North Shropshire College (HLNSC) were delighted to host the first meeting of the newly formed Construction Sector Green Technologies Advisory Panel on Friday 26th January.

The meeting took place at the new cutting-edge training facility dedicated to renewable technology. The Low Carbon Technology Training Centre (LCTTC). Nestled within the scenic surroundings of HLNSC’s Holme Lacy College, this state-of-the-art centre is set to make a significant impact in advancing the adoption of sustainable energy solutions in our region.

At the meeting, local employers discussed future expansion plans for the centre and explored ways to support new initiatives in delivering a wider range of specialist qualifications. Dr Jon Gill gave a thought-provoking presentation on how different funding streams are crucial to support these initiatives. He also explained that they often come with tight deadlines and challenging requirements.
