allpay joins Herefordshire College’s Employer Patron Programme to support future digital talent
Herefordshire College is delighted to be strengthening its relationship with allpay as part of its Patron Scheme for the 2026/27 academic year.
As one of the region’s leading technology employers, allpay continues to play an important role in helping students develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to succeed in the digital sector. Building on an existing successful partnership, the organisation has committed to supporting a range of activities designed to bridge the gap between education and employment.
Mandy Knott, Learning & Development Manager, allpay Ltd, said:
“Young people need meaningful opportunities to see what the world of work really looks like, beyond the classroom. By working closely with education providers, businesses can help build confidence, raise aspirations and give students valuable insight into the skills and experiences that will support their future careers. At allpay, we believe strong partnerships between education and employers are essential in developing the talent pipeline for our region and creating opportunities for the next generation”.
Throughout the coming academic year, allpay will work closely with college students who will benefit from guest speaker sessions, offering first-hand insights into careers within technology and the opportunities available in the sector.
The partnership will also support teaching staff at allpay to ensure their up to date knowledge of current industry practices, emerging technologies and workplace expectations. This will help ensure learning remains relevant, up to date and aligned with the needs of employers.
In addition, allpay will contribute to a review of computing curriculum, helping to shape programmes that reflect the digital landscape and equip students with the skills required by modern businesses.
Mike Coakham, Curriculum Team Leader for Digital at Herefordshire College, said:
“Our partnership with allpay demonstrates the value of employers working alongside education to develop the workforce of the future. Their continued commitment provides our students and staff with invaluable industry insight, real-world experience and opportunities to engage directly with one of the region’s leading technology organisations.”
By working together, both the college and allpay are helping to ensure that students leave college equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in a modern digital economy.
