Level 2 and Level 3 Animal Management
I had a fantastic 3 years at Holme Lacy and continue to look back at my time there with lots of fond memories. I always felt incredibly lucky to be studying a course that I found so interesting, and the tutors and staff at Holme Lacy were incredibly supportive with accommodating my anxiety (which enabled me to make the most of being there as much as I could). Animal unit days were always a highlight- it was amazing to have experience with so many different species.
Studying there has given me the skills and confidence I have needed when going into further areas of animal care. Since leaving Holme Lacy, I took a year out of education, and set up a dog walking and pet sitting business, and also started working as a sales assistant in a pet shop. Most recently, I have also started studying animal behaviour and welfare at Hartpury University.
I am constantly using the knowledge that I learnt studying animal care at the pet shop, while setting up my business, and as I continue to study now. Thank you to all the tutors and support staff who were clearly working hard to give us all a valuable college experience!
I’m sending my best wishes to Capy the guinea pig, the 3 Degus, and the ferrets.
