2024

In September 2023 I joined Holme Lacy College to study animal care because I had always wanted to be a vet. I realised a couple of months later, I didn’t want to be a vet, I wanted to change my career path completely. Animal care was a good course and I would highly recommend it, but it wasn’t for me in the end. I did, however, have really lovely tutors who helped me and supported me throughout my time at Holme lacy and they helped me decide what I want to be in the future.

I wanted to be a firefighter, and I still do now. After my year of animal care, I joined a public service course at Level 2 at Herefordshire College and it was the best decision for me.

I ended the year with a distinction merit, and I am continuing onto level 3 now, still aspiring to become a firefighter in the RAF. In Level 2 and the start of Level 3, I have some amazing tutors, and I couldn’t have passed the course without the help of Daz and Kieran. They helped me grow my confidence as the year went on, and I am very grateful that they are my tutors.

I am hoping to end level 3 with a distinction* and to join the fire service in the RAF.
