Hoople Ltd established in April 2011, was originally a joint venture company between Herefordshire Council, NHS Herefordshire (PCT) & Wye Valley NHS Trust, the first of its kind. The shareholders now being Herefordshire Council & Wye Valley NHS Trust and Lincolnshire County Council.
The company has developed over the years and delivers a variety of services to a variety of customers, such as HR, payroll, finance, procurement, IT, training, education and recruitment, Care and building maintenance and cleaning.
Customers include Local Authorities, Schools, GP practices and both voluntary and private companies.
The role:
- Daily finance based tasks, such as posting journals & voucher slips
- Distributing post
- Loading electronic files onto the finance system
- Cashier based tasks
- Processing invoices
- Other finance related support tasks as required
Desired skills:
- Ability to deal with numbers accurately,
- Good excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well as part of a team and independently
Desired personal qualities:
- Keen interest in finance & customer service
- Good communication skills
- Work well as part of a team and the company as a whole
Desired qualifications:
- GCSE grade 4 or above in maths and English is essential
Future prospects?
- There is potential for the individual to be taken on permanently by the company, support with achieving all levels of AAT 2-4 and further accounting based study to degree level is a possibility.
Reality check:
- Work will be office based, involving screen work (2 screens)
