Dr Susanna O Raghallaigh

Susanna progressed from Ludlow College in 2014, having achieved A* in A Level Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology and EPQ and grade A in AS French to study Cell and Systems Biology at Oxford, securing an academic scholarship.

Keen to continue with academic research, Susanna secured a place at Edinburgh University to complete a Masters (distinction and prize winner for the highest grade) in Biomedical Science, followed by a PHD in Regeneration Biology.

Susanna’s work experience is extremely varied, more recently studying the production of lab-grown meat products, but extends to making brain cells out of skin to mutating fish embryo and investigating the genetics of sheep virus infections.
