Hereford, 17 September 2025 — Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College celebrated the outstanding achievements of its higher education graduates on Wednesday 17 September in a moving ceremony at the historic Hereford Cathedral.
The graduation ceremony, conducted by Reverend Canon James Pacey, brought together students, families, staff, and special guests for a day of pride, reflection, and celebration.
Guest of Honour Oliver Morgan Inspires Graduates
The College was delighted to welcome former student and Olympic swimmer Oliver Morgan as Guest of Honour to the graduation ceremony. A Ludlow Sixth Form College alumnus and a Team GB backstroke specialist, Oliver shared his reflections on discipline, resilience, and the value of education, encouraging graduates to embrace challenges and opportunities with confidence.
A Celebration of Achievement
Graduates crossed the stage to receive recognition in areas spanning:
- Professional Diploma in Accounting
- Foundation Degrees in Counselling and Health & Social Care
- Certificate in Higher Education: Health & Social Care
- Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training
- HND in Early Childhood Education & Care
- HNCs in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- HNC in Leadership & Management
The formal procession entered to Pachelbel’s Canon, accompanied by live music from the Minerva String Quartet, who also performed selected works throughout the ceremony.
Pre-Ceremony Reception
Ahead of the service, graduates and their guests enjoyed a celebratory Prosecco and light buffet reception in the Cathedral’s College Hall, where the sense of pride and excitement was tangible.
Marking a Milestone
