About the course

This course will teach students the practical skills and knowledge of a broad range of species to prepare them for work or university. Throughout the programme, students will have the opportunity to join educational visits which may include Crufts, Wolf Watch UK, and The Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Students will also gain valuable industry insights from a wide range of guest speakers, as well as complete 315 hours of industry-relevant work experience alongside their course. Our Animal Care and Management T Level is suited to 16-18-year-olds with a genuine interest in animal welfare and management.

This qualification is the equivalent of up to 168 UCAS points.

Assessment methods

Year 1 – 1x Research project, 2x written exams

Year 2 –  1x Research project, 1x synoptic which is a combination of written and practical assessments.

Entry requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4, including science, English and maths or successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit grade. Students without grades 9-4 in GCSE English and maths must demostrate good attendance to English and maths lessons and must attend all GCSE exams.
