This qualification covers the theory and practical knowledge required to enable you to carry out make up treatments on clients. You will gain a good understanding of skin care and which make up products to apply to certain skin types and tones. You will discover your artistic skills and creativity with make up techniques and complete a portfolio of evidence of your looks. 100% attendance will be required in order to complete all the elements of the course.
You will learn:
• How to cleanse and prepare the skin for a make up treatment
• How to apply make up using hygienic working practices
• How to apply make up for different occasions, e.g. bridal, evening wear
• Product knowledge and corrective work of the face
Please note that the L2 beauty therapy courses are for adults 19+ (learners must have turned 19 by 31st August 2024 to enrol for a 24/25 course).
L2 NVQ Award in Make Up Services
Progression onto manicure, pedicure, facial massage & skin care or tanning courses.
