About the course

This course is designed for those who want to start a career within the forestry and arboriculture sector. Modern forestry and arboriculture practices involve far more than just growing trees for timber. There are numerous career options depending on individual interests and goals, which range from managing large forests to managing trees for amenity and urban landscapes.

You will gain an understanding of the skills and knowledge that are important when you are working in a tree work setting, and this will enable you to progress onto either a Forestry Apprenticeship or an Arborist Apprenticeship.
