This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. This course is a coherent study of the health and social care sector and supports progression to a HE university degree in a related subject; these include nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, social work, occupational therapy, teaching and many more. It could also lead to an apprenticeship in the sector for those who wish to go straight out into practice to work as care/support workers.
BTEC National Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care
This qualification is equivalent to three A Levels. This will give you the necessary UCAS points to progress in Health and Social Care related higher education courses, a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care, or work in practice if you choose to do so.
