PART-TIME COURSES
This charge identified is applicable to learners aged 16-18 who qualify for funding. Learners aged 19+ will have to pay this charge and possibly tuition and exam fees. * Fees are chargeable each year and the fees quoted will be for the current year only, if the course is more than 1 year further fees will be due next year.
The Level 2 course will develop your skills in preparation, cooking and presentation of a variety of food groups. You will learn to work as part of a team in the College’s industry standard kitchen and restaurant. As part of your course you will also complete a period of industry work experience with an employer. You will have the opportunity to take part in events, visits and competitions which will enable you to gain valuable experience and to understand the expectations of future employers.
Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality & Catering.
Level 3 within Hospitality and Catering or apprenticeship programme, employment role such as a commis chef or restaurant supervisor.
Cook a Range of Complex Dishes
Supervising Catering and Hospitality Provision
Development of Recipes and Menus
Food Safety when Preparing, Storing and Cooking food
Assessment will be via practical assessments & written evidence.
A minimum of four GCSE’s at Grade 4 – including Maths and English or successful completion of a relevant Level 2 within Hospitality and Catering and good progress with English and Maths
