This Level 3 course develops your understanding of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and maintenance practices, preparing you for employment or further study in the building services industry. You will gain hands-on experience with domestic and commercial plumbing systems, including hot and cold water systems, sanitation, and central heating. The course also covers health and safety, environmental technologies, and the use of technical drawings and specifications.
Progression routes include advanced apprenticeships, university degrees in building services engineering or construction management, and employment as a qualified plumber, heating engineer, or maintenance technician. Career options also include roles in renewable energy systems, water treatment, and property maintenance.

Assessment will be externally and internally assessed.
A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English and maths or successful completion of the Level 2 Plumbing qualification and good progress with English and maths. Applicants without suitable practical experience may be advised to commence study at Level 1.
