Hourly Paid Lecturer in Farriery

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Hereford School of Farriery at Holme Lacy College for a qualified and experienced Farrier to join our teaching team on an hourly-paid basis over two part days.

The role will involve the planning and delivery of engaging practical and theory lessons to our Level 2 Introduction to Farriery students and our Level 3 Farriery Apprentices.

Teaching experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.  A greater emphasis is on a passionate and supportive approach to developing a high standard of skills, knowledge and behaviours of our farriery students and apprentices expected in industry.

As part of the role, you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational/administrative processes including preparation of work, marking and assessment, course tutorship, and student welfare.  In addition, staff are expected to support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives.

You should be a qualified and registered farrier with proven industry experience.

HLNSC is committed to equality of opportunity, safeguarding including the Prevent Duty and promoting the welfare of all learners and expects all members of staff to share this commitment.
