Wellbeing & Pastoral Mentor

We are seeking a Wellbeing & Pastoral Mentor to join our dedicated Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting students’ wellbeing, safety and academic success.

About the Role

As a Wellbeing & Pastoral Mentor, you will:

• Manage a caseload of students, providing tailored wellbeing and pastoral support.
• Build positive, trusting relationships that empower students to overcome personal and educational challenges.
• Work closely with the Head of Safeguarding & Student Wellbeing, curriculum teams and external partner agencies.
• Support students to improve their health, wellbeing, attendance and retention.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, inclusion and the Prevent Duty across the college.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is compassionate, resilient and approachable.
• Has experience in pastoral care, mentoring, wellbeing, safeguarding or welfare support.
• Can build effective relationships with students, colleagues and external agencies.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
