The brand new industry standard equine stables at Walford are now officially open for students to use, following an official launch event on Friday 17th November.
The stables which house horses for both livery, students and staff are state of the art and ensure that students are learning in high-quality facilities.
Jo Castree is the yard manager of Walford Stables and has led the project development. She said “The new stables were much needed, and the investment from the college has enabled us not only to provide high-quality accommodation for our horses but an excellent learning environment for our equine students”
Melanie Taylor, Assistant Principal of the college officially opened the stables in an event attended by college staff, students and livery she said “This is the newest development in the college’s continual drive to improve, we are fully committed to providing high-quality industry-standard teaching and learning facilities for all students. I am excited to see the students staff and of course, horses making full use of this new facility in the coming months”.
